UPDATE: EMAIL IS DOWN DUE TO A TECHNICAL ERROR ON BEHALF OF OUR PROVIDER. MOST SUBMISSIONS APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN LOST. OUR E-MAIL PROVIDER IS WORKING ON TRYING TO RECOVER THOSE SUBMISSIONS. IF YOU SENT A SUBMISSION BY POST, WE STILL HAVE IT AND WILL BE WORKING ON THOSE SUBMISSIONS FIRST. IF THE SUBMISSIONS ARE PERMANENTLY LOST AND YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY SUBMITTED IN THE LAST TWO YEARS, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HEARD FROM US IN THAT TIME PERIOD, YOU MAY NEED TO RESUBMIT. PLEASE WAIT UNTIL WE POST THAT WE HAVE E-MAIL ACCESS BACK.
Wildstar Press as a publishing entity is currently offline. We are not currently accepting submissions. If you have submitted and been accepted but have not seen your work posted, OR if you have submitted and not heard from us:
We are currently working very slowly through all submissions and will be posting those accepted. Exact dates and times are unknown and will depend on the varying factors affecting our all volunteer staff. Please be patient. If you no longer wish to be considered please send us written notice at the e-mail address listed on the submissions page.
IMPORTANT: We have added a donations logo to our support page. Since Wildstar Press is completely volunteer and personally financed...a labor of love so to speak...it is completely at the economic mercy that affects the volunteers.
If you wish to contribute you may do so. We would like you to know though:
1. Contributing will not gaurantee that your work will be accepted. In fact, it will have no affect whatsoever on our decision to accept or reject work.
2. Any contribution is NOT tax deductible. We are not currently registered as a non-profit entity for tax purposes. The irony is it takes money to be registered so and maintain that registration.
3. Money received will be used first to compensate volunteers for their time. The best way to get work done quickly and efficiently is to pay someone to do it. After that it will be used to register the home domain name (wouldn't www.wildstarpress.com be so much easier to type in?) and of course from their to support other operating costs of the site.
We greatly appreciate any donation made. However we appreciate your readership and creativity. Thanks for sticking with us for the past 5 years.
Happy Holidays!
The Wildstar Press Staff
1/08/2004 The text only version of this site is now up and linked to the main page. This was the largest drag in the revamp. Now that it is done we will be concentrating on Volume IIII, If you experience any problems with the text only version please e-mail the webmaster at wildstarpress at wildmail.com. We have received a lot of quality submissions, so please look foward to volume IIII!

7/12/2003 In addition to preparing the next volume (see 6/26/2003) Wildstar Press is also updating its site. Links are being checked, corrections are being made, and pages are being revamped. Submission guidelines have been rewritten so please check them out before you submit. An important note: We have finally settled into our permanent e-mail address. It is now wildstarpress at wildmail.com (replace at with @). Please send all further correspondence to this address. The addresses listed below were temporary and are now outdated. Thank you.

6/26/03 Alas the small non-revenue generating operation suffers greatly in these times. Our grand plans of moving to multiple volumes per year with new additions must shrink back to reality's canvas. So for 2003, we hope to have two editions six months apart. We will be experimenting with the format. The 2003 volume will make its appearance within the next month. The sooner the better of course. Thank you all for your patience and continued patronage.

4/1/02 Volume III is up! Poems will be added triweekly from April 10th to July 1st. A minimum of two poems will be added during each three week period. More may be added at our discretion. Also note, the submission guidelines will be updated soon. The changes will reflect a clarification of the submission process and what happens after acceptence, as well as author compensation. This page will also receive a small facelift for easier navigation.
Thank you,

2/21/02 Our previous schedule was to have the next installment published on the web by January for a January-March volume. Unfortunately our move decreased our submissions since our readers don't know where to find us! We are currently working on advertising and building our readership, as well as submissions. Accordingly, Volume III of poetry pages will be postponed until April 1st. Additions to the other pages will occur in March or when three submissions for each section have been received. Please continue to submit, visit and read. Also look for our upcoming newsletter sometime in June.
Thank you,

11/10/01 First the editor would like to introduce and welcome assistant editor Beth Trent on board. Beth has graciously agreed to assist the editor in the upkeep of Wildstar Press without compensation. Beth will be instrumental in helping Wildstar Press serve the literary community. In other news, the rollover of the website has been completed and to the editor's knowledge all links are working (please e-mail leyd_dragon at yahoo.com [now defunct, please use wildstarpress at wildmail.com] if you find otherwise). Only the links page needs tweaking. Any submissions received before october 15th will be published in vol II. Any submission recevied after Oct.15 will be published in vol III. Vol. III will be a quarterly volume from January to March in which new submissions will be added bi-weekly (or weekly if we get a high number of quality submissions). We also plan to implement a monthly newsletter in which one can receive in the e-mail all of the poems published on the Wildstar Press Website for the time period of one month. A form will be forth-coming to suscribe to the newletter. Remember: Submit, Read, and Spread the Word!
10/13/01 A new web provider has been found at smartstart. The new address is http://www.wildstarpress.50g.com. The site has been rolled over and is currently in the process of being tweaked back to health. If you find an incorect link, image, or other problem, please e-mail leyd_dragon at yahoo.com [now defunct, please use wildstarpress at wildmail.com]. Publishing will resume mid-october per the note below of 5/31/01. If you have submitted to us at any time and have not heard from us, please know that as we adjust the site we are also reviewing those submissions and will be contacting those authors shortly. We thank you for your patience and support.
Thank you,

6/29/01 On May 31, Terrashare (the web provider for Wildstar Press) announced it was shutting down services. Web sites were given one week to copy all data before access ceased. Due to this news Wildstar Press temporarily ceased publishing activites until a new provider could be found. As you can see the website is still up and editors still have access to html codes. So the new policy is as follows: Wildstar Press will resume publishing at this web address on Aug. 15th. Until then, submissions may be made to wildstarpress@goingplatinum.com [now defunct, please use wildstarpress at wildmail.com] but turn around time will be much slower. During the next two weeks the editor will be looking for a new web services provider. When one is found the Wildstar Press website will be copied exactly as is. Publishing will resume and the new site will be a mirror of this address until Terrashare shuts down all services. We hope the reader understands that the Editor and any staff receive little or no monies from running this site including advertising etc. so the new provider will have to be a free hosting service. We will attempt to find a quality service with as few pop up advertising as possible. If you would like to be apprised of all changes (new sites, Terrashare shut downs etc.) Please write the editor at wildstarpress@goingplatinum.com [now defunct, please use wildstarpress at wildmail.com] with the subject line: Wildstar Press Updates Mailing List.
Thank you,

5/23/01 Due to the fact that the number of quality submissions have increased, the Poetry Pages portion of Wildstar Press will start publishing online quarterly volumes instead of annual volumes. Currently the first quarterly volume is planned to start in September of 2001 and end Dec. 21st 2001. Until then all new submissions will be added to Volume II.
